Pegasus Lodge is the ground floor of a family house on Rainstrasse, set into the hill above Engelberg’s small lake. It has its own gate, garden and terraces, and a view that runs 180 degrees from Hahnen to Scheideggstock.

It is sized for two and comfortable for four: a double bedroom with the Titlis in the window, a living room with a proper sofa bed, a well-stocked kitchen and a bath. A 55-inch Frame TV, a record player and a PS5 are there for the evenings you decide not to go out.

The Titlis cable car is a ten-minute walk along the lake, and the railway station the same. Your stay includes a free ski locker for two at the Titlis valley station, and the tourist tax is already in the price.

Two things to know before you book. The flat is reached down 55 steps from the private parking bay above (or up 153 from Studentenweg), and the family’s two Norwegian Forest cats, Maxi and Vovo, consider the garden theirs.

Two seasons

Skis on in winter. Boots on in summer.

Engelberg is a working mountain village, open all year. The Titlis runs to 3 020 m, and Brunni, the sunny side across the valley, is the family mountain.

The view was stunning. It was so serene waking up to fresh snow on the mountains.

Krithiga · Palo Alto · May 2026

There’s a terrace where you can sit and enjoy your morning coffee. We can’t wait to come back and visit Engelberg in the winter.

Ruxandra · April 2025

Ski slopes were stunning and so much variety on and off piste to ski. Location was a quick and easy walk to the centre and the gondola.

Sarah · December 2024

We looked out every morning on beautiful mountains, and the apartment had everything we needed. You won’t regret booking here.
